Social Justice Resources

Guide to social justice resources for faculty, staff, students, and the public.

About the Social Justice Coalition

The social justice coalition members work with faculty and staff throughout the university to develop policies that enhance the university's commitment to providing access to education to historically excluded students. In addition, we are focused on creating processes to ensure that we recruit, hire, train, and promote a diverse group of faculty and staff. We provide resources to support the creation of an inclusive environment in the classroom, training for faculty and staff to learn and understand the importance of diversity and inclusion in all aspects of higher education, and provide training for personal and professional growth focused on social justice.

Mission, Vision, and Values

The Social Justice Coalition actively supports City University's mission by working to build a more diverse and inclusive environment for historically marginalized faculty, staff, and students. Our focus is to reduce barriers, create equitable access, and improve outcomes for Black, Brown, Indigenous People of Color, and all genders, sexual orientations, national origins, ages, creeds or religions, military status, or abilities.
To become the university and community leaders of social justice through knowledge and practice.
The Social Justice Coalition is committed to creating a learning and work environment that supports Social Justice, Equitable Access, Respectful Collaboration, and an Inclusive Culture.
