A complete list of the required resources for your courses is available through the MyCityU Portal, the Library website, and under Course Information in your Blackboard course. Note: You can also find and purchase your required resources via CityU’s online bookstore – please see our Bookstore Ordering Guide [PDF].
Let’s start in the MyCityU Portal. From the Campus Links menu on the right, select Course Overviews and Resources. If you have already logged in to MyCityU, this link will be found in the Quick Links menu of your dashboard.
To locate your class, choose the prefix. A second drop-down menu will appear, from which you can choose the appropriate number. This will show you the Course Overview and Course Resource Guide for your Course.
The Course Resource Guide shows you the full list of required and recommended resources. The required materials are listed at the top.
When the title of a resource is hyperlinked, this indicates that the item is available through the CityU Library or on the web. The majority of hyperlinked resources are available to you for free, but some do require purchase directly from the publisher. Please note that you will need to login with your CityU username and password to access library materials.
A title without a hyperlink indicates a print resource that can be purchased from the CityU bookstore. The bookstore can be accessed from the link at the top of the Course Resource Guide, or from the MyCityU Portal’s Campus Bookmarks and Quick Links menus. If you are located outside of the U.S. and Canada, please contact your advisor to find out how to locate and access your required course materials.
You may also access your Course Resource Guide outside the MyCityU Portal. On the library website, http://library.cityu.edu, the Course Resources tab at the top-left takes you to the Course Document Lookup. We encourage you to bookmark the library website for easy access to course materials and research support.
You can also access your Course Resource Guide from inside any of your Blackboard Courses. Click on the Course Information link and then the Course Resources link. This Course Resources link will direct you to the Course Resource Guide for that particular course.
