City University of Seattle requires every student to own or have access to a computer that is at a minimum capable of performing the following essential functions:

The specific set of tools and settings used in combination by students, faculty, and staff to access information and technology adopted by City University will determine system performance. Each student is required to maintain a student portal account and an email account that is provided by City University of Seattle via My.CityU.edu. The City University of Seattle student portal and email systems are the primary medium for communication of official University correspondence, such as but not limited to policy changes, billing notices, registration notification, various guidelines and any information considered important (see complete Computer, Internet Access, and Email Account Requirement policy in University Catalog).

To provide access to higher education, CityU partners with community colleges and technical colleges, local school districts, and with other private institutions of higher education to offer degree programs. The level of access to the Internet and technology may vary depending on the partner’s infrastructure or programs offered. In some cases, a technology fee for the partner school may apply.
